After seeing my first Cruiser in 1984, an FJ40 of some sorts, I have wanted one. Well 33 years later I finally own one! I've been a member on the forum for a few years, and lurked for a few years before that. I've been on forums for almost 20 years now and this is the best forum in every regard.
I got serious about finally buying a cruiser about 2 years ago. I started out wanting to get an 80. After having a next to impossible time finding one that fit my criteria for condition and price, I decided to start looking at 100's. Every 100 close enough to me to actually go look at, would get bought quicker than I could go check it out. I started to notice that the 200's around me would sit for a good while before being bought. So about 2 weeks ago I started looking at 200's, even though I had never even sat in one, much less drove one. I looked everyday on every online resource for 200's within 50 miles of me. Well Tuesday evening I found one about 5 minutes from where I work. I went and test drove it for over an hour, took it to my buddy's shop in town (He is here on Mud and has sold several of his cruisers and 4runners to members). He was shocked at the condition for an 8yr old truck with 140k miles on it, he gave it a thumbs up in every regards, so back to the dealership I went. They were asking $31k on the lot, but $30k for internet leads. It was about 15 minutes to closing and I wanted to get home, so I told them to call me in the morning with their best offer, as I was not interested in negotiating. He called me yesterday around lunch and said $27k, I said I'll come pick it up after work!
It is a 2010 LX with 140K miles, 2 owner, every option except adaptive cruise control, bought new at the local Lexus dealership. The original owner gave it to her son when she got a 2013. She then bought a 2017 and gave her son the 2013. The family owns the lot I bought it from, so they decided to just put the 2010 on the lot. It has absolutely perfect service history from the Lexus dealership...I mean every little bit of maintenance has been done on time. Since I know this thread is worthless without pics...

Now that I'm an owner I'm looking forward to finally being a contributing member of this forum!
