Okay everyone,

After the successful January wrench-a-thon and Clint from Battlement Fabrication:cool: so graciously offered his shop up for our club to use for our wrench-a-thon. We have scheduled a wrench-a-thon for Feb. 16th or Feb 23rd, which date works for the group? We also need to get a list of projects people want to tackle that way we can take full advantage of the opportunity Clint at Battlement Fabrication has been so kind in giving us!! This is the perfect time to have any Brackets ( CNC Plasma cutting table), Welding ( done by a professional), Pre-Cruise Moab vehicle inspection :steer:, be able to talk with Clint and get answer about that project you have always wanted to do to your rig.

Depending on donations or if the group wants to bring there own burger and bratwurst. We van have a BBQ for lunch. Oh course BYOB.

Sounds cool. I don't have any specific projects planned but might come up with something by then and I'd prefer the first weekend.

Can't do first or second weekend of February, it is King of Hammers weeks and Clint will not be available for those weekends.

I didn't mean first weekend of Feb. was meaning first weekend of the two you posted (16th), but I may not be in town anyway.

I'll have to look at my work schedule but if I can make it down I'd like to cut off my stock lower control arm mounts and weld on some new ones. I have the All Pro LCA armor over my stock mounts but they reduce clearance by about 1/2" and do nothing to keep the flimsy stock mount from ripping off the frame rail.

The 23rd would be cool. Ordered sliders from CBI and they should be on by then!

Awesome!! Want to see them when you get them!!:bounce:

Hey everyone,

I will be at Clint's for the next few days if you have the day off swing on by.

Very excited to be involved guys! Love supporting clubs and all the guys I have met so far have been great! Look forward to seeing you all on the 23rd!

Thanks for the offer Clint. Very generous of you and looks to be mutually beneficial.

If I can find a baby sitter I'll be there. I'd like to get my lights installed and will need a couple of custom brackets made as well as a etched switch plate. Those LCA mounts look pretty bomber too. I'm intrigued as the OEM ones are definitely a weak spot on the truck.

Oh and PS, my drill bit set is still missing........

Heck yeah, Im excited! I love getting people together, and having it at the shop gives us the ability to really knock some stuff out :D

Hey Clint, thanks for hosting this event for us! I have a question about your LCA mounts. It appears the front end is squared off, I was curious as to the reason for this vs tapering them to a point so you have a smooth transition from frame rail to mount to slide over?

Matt, what's Clints address? Are you going to be around tomorrow?

Dustin,

Battlement Fabrication
2513 Weslo Avenue Grand Junction, CO 81505

I won't be there until Friday more than likely, had a good day at the shop today and got everything to the painter!! So trying to save some $$$$$ and waiting until Friday after work to come back to GJ. Bumper and Rack should be done by then.

:cheers::steer:

Not following. The back end is about an inch tall to give a little more structure to it, and the front end has a joint in it so it wont catch on anything. The picture that Phil posted is a little off. he boxed his in a little different.

here is another pic to look at:

I can change them to fit your needs better though, not an issue at all :D

Those look Excellent!

In this photo it looks like the leading edge (The edge facing the front of the vehicle) for the rear LCA mount is squared off on front. The Ruff Stuff mounts I had been looking at previously taper to a point. My concern was having a smooth ramp-up from the rail to the mount so if I am dragging the frame rail over something I don't hit the blunt front end of the mount and get hung up.

Here is a photo of the Ruff Stuff mount if that helps clarify.

Matt, Is Feb 23rd finalized? What time frame do you want to do it? I'll create a FB Event as well.
