For Sale (Fayetteville, AR) Built 2006 Land Cruiser

Truck is going on eBay. If it doesn’t sell there then you can bid on it on bringatrailer.

It is amazing how much hate this post received by being priced $2k over market. I’m not sure how many more times I would have had to say “I’m willing to negotiate” but I’m not willing to stick around and find out.

I’m also amazed that the mods allow fools to jump into a for sale thread that follows all of the rules and bombard it with negative comments about the price.

Beautiful truck. At $32k, I would hope you'd fix those hail dents yourself if you're gonna sell. That's a lot of dough for something that's not 100% perfect - even assuming 100% complete maintenance records/history, and a build as is.

Post more info about the maintenance history (not just WP/TB service, etc.) - for the life of the vehicle. CARFAX. Interior and underneath pics, and more.

Those things could potentially drum up interest.

At your price, people are going to be looking at something like this:

I know the person who bought that truck.

A 200 buyer is not the same as a 100 buyer. Different market altogether.

While I agree that the price is slightly high, I don’t agree that it is off by much. I have some room to move and have tried the “bottom dollar” price approach before. People are going to offer less regardless of where you set the price.

I have seen similar builds for around the same money with a lot more miles and not as good condition. Again- this one does not have any rust at all.

Considering what a stock 06 rust free example with this mileage (and recent maintenance) is going for, I am comfortable listing it at this price and seeing what happens. At the end of the day- I really am in no rush to sell and I felt sick even posting it. So it’s going to have to be the “right” offer to pry it from me

I respectfully disagree. I cross-shopped 200's, 100's, and 80's throughout my purchase. And while I ended up with an '06 100, I'm still in the market for a quality 80, and likely will end up with a 200 at some point.

I can appreciate your "I don't need to sell" and making sure you get the "right offer." That should be your stance more than anything. I still fully believe that to get the type of interest you're going to need to hit that right price, that you're going to need to do some things to hit that buyer - more info, and fixing the little things. Speaking for myself (but I think it applies to others) - given the type of cash that it takes to purchase, own, operate, and build these things, I would want everything as damn near perfect as possible.

Where I don't disagree with you is that pricing is high - whether it be for your truck or others. These things may run forever with maintenance and love, but there is a bubble on pricing. I have no doubt you've looked through here, but similar trucks that are built with similar pricing are still around. Even ones that are nicely built with lower pricing are still around.

GLWS. I'll be watching. I also want to say that I hope you get EVERY DOLLAR! Because it just makes the value of my own truck worth that much more.

I have a built 06 with low miles as well. In addition to the timing belt/water pump I had the vvt-i seals, and starter done as well. I keep going back and forth about selling. I think your price is in line.

You might try advertising in the Seattle/Portland/Bay area Craigslist. Also it might help to add all the line items and add up the cost if someone were to buy a stock rig.

Be prepared to be heckled on mud. I sold a built 80 on 37's. Most mudders were ridiculous on price. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for!

Good luck 👍

I've been searching for the right LC100 for almost a year. I've looked at dozens and nearly pulled the trigger on a few. I've had one that I truly thought it was finally the one and then the inspection did not totally satisfy me.
I would be interested in your 100 but not anywhere close to this price. The market just simply isn't there and that's coming from a guy who checks all sources at least once per day for the last 10 months...
Doesn't sound like you're open to offers but if something changes, let me know. Otherwise GLWS..!

Good luck with that. Cleaning up your other posts too. We'll be interested to see how things go on BAT for you.

I have a strong reputation on BaT (and in other car communities) so I don’t doubt that it will go just fine.

Again- I am disappointed to see how negative this community got over a couple of grand. It’s one of the nicest 100s I have seen posted here in a while and I wasn’t all that serious about selling it when I decided on the price.

I have read this forum for years and years (only joined recently) and was always amazed at the vast amount of knowledge that comes through these pages. However, it’s unfortunate to see how people act.

There have been a few people reach out through PM to let me know to stay strong in my price and ignore the naysayers. I appreciate those posters for the encouragement.
