there is no relay. its thermstatically controlled. my next question is your belts screaming?.and where did you get it..ive heard that the lcheapos such as from advance will run 80% of the time SOMETIMES.

What is the condition of your radiator? If your radiator is no longer getting the job done, that could account for the fan clutch being engaged when it otherwise would not be.

i'll have to check the condition of the radiator, and it almost never runs hot( except in bad traffic)but the part was installed by a shop here in the city and it cost way to much, I'll check the radiator after work and then we'll see

umm. which fan...

the radiator fan, not the fan that blows air out the drivers front fender. I checked out the radiator and the fan just now, it seems the seal on the motor side of the fan isblown and there is gease on the fan blades I think its the fan clutch i'm gonna look into replacing it right now. Any other Ideas?

can you spin the fan with the motor off?

can you take a pic?

So if your fan clutch is working..the fan does not turn untill the fan clutch kicks in?

None of my cruisers (4) worked that way. My fans have always truned when the engine was running, engaged more when the clutch kicked in..

Maybe I don't understand what's up with this thread?

Pls educate me..
