One of my fan clutch nuts has exited the universe.

Does anyone know the size of the nut?

Do you think it would be ok with 3 of the 4 nuts until I can order new ones from wits end?

They're just m8x1.25s, I think flanged? Don't overthink it.

Oh yea....believe me.

Those nuts are so close to the center of the spinning fan, just a different 12 mm nut won't make it severely unbalanced.

Make sure you find that nut. If it get's inbetween a spinning pulley and engine block, it could cause severe damages.

I heard it fall and it sounded like it fell on the the skid plates. Removed all the plates/trays and it's nowhere to be found. I checked all around the vehicle thinking maybe it bounced out. Checked as good as I could behind the pulleys. It's gone.

I did find a socket though. LOL.

I'll try turning the engine over by hand before I put the new radiator in.

O'Reilly's to the rescue. It's 13mm but it fits and is flanged.

Is there a trick to remove these? I am in the middle of pulling my radiator and I cant get my nuts loose.

Edit: If anyone has trouble with these in the future use two 12mm wrenches on opposite sides to work them off. Takes alot of force. Also just go ahead and buy new nuts, its cheap insurance.
