Looking for exact location and what’s required to access it. The FSM is kind of vague.

If not mistaken I think it looks like this but this only has 2 wire and a single plug attached as opposed the new part.

Appears to be at the top from this photo. Can I drop the blower motor or am I pulling the dash. For reference my truck has 352k plus on the odometer.

Side note, how do I not take a full load from the airbag by accident if I’m to reach up in there?

May have made a mistake and ordered the rear by accident…still doesn’t explain where the front one is located.

Since no replies, I will put my 2 cents in.,

I seem to remember that there were different Fan blower motor resistors and the one I ordered didn't match the one I had. I left mine alone since it was working and deemed it a "later problem" to solve.

This is the rear seat heater.

Doubtful, but one can always disconnect the battery. The entire dash, with the airbag, can be removed as one unit and you do disconnect the battery before hand as a way to make it safe.

All right, I got some clarity on this. Yes, the first pic in the thread was in fact the resistor. I was thrown off with not having the correct one for starters and the diagrams on the FSM is not great.

The new part no longer has the pigtail like the one on the truck. Rather then the pigtail plugging into the harness, the harness plugs directly in to the part now. I’ll add a pic later.

Finally got the part in. Turns out Mr. Toyota disco’d the one for the 40th anniversary edition with auto-climate control. I believe the Wells part number was JA 1348 but I was searching I came across it at Parts Geek. Turns out the one I bought is straight out of J-A-pan. Never seen this company but I was glad to see something not from China
