Greetings All,

So LandCruisers Anonymous isn't working as you can see by the latest addition below. Me love craigslist! I have questions now that the bloody thing is on the truck:

1. Where does my license plate attach? - no holes line up and I need to leave room for the wench.

2. Speaking of wenches ;) which should I consider buying? (Hold your spitzers, there...)

Thanks,

Harry

Harry bumper looks sweet:cheers:

i don't run a front plate why because it looks ugly on my arb i have had cops do the walk around on my truck and never noticed that its missing the plate probably just to much going on on the truck for them to even think of the front plate just toss it between the seat and tell them that your waiting for the bracket in the mail haha I don't recommend this but the choice is yours

as for wrenches i go with craftsman just because if i break one i can just return it i turn a lot of wrenches so every 3 weeks or so i am returning broken tools (i like my 3 ft helper bar a lot:D)

i baught gear wrench ratchet wrenches for all my friends for x-mass at Costco a while back we all love em' and they are priced well the only one i broke was my 12mm but that one gets a lot of use

by the way you thinking of a winch for that beast?

Mine was held on with Zipties for 4 years.

I never got around to installing the "wench" (winch), but if you leave them loose enough you can just flip the plate up when you need to use it.

The first step is admitting you have a problem...You have come to the wrong place cause we are all in denial.

Nice bumpr. Good luck with the wench.

Someone makes a bracket that attaches to a roller fairlead that you can remove when you hit the trail and snap back on before you hit the road again.

As far as a winch itself, I've heard decent things about the new Smittybuilt 8K lb model. I know some huys that have put it through it's paces. Slow as molasses uphill in January on big trucks, but it does the job and they're VERY reasonably priced.

As for the wench, I prefer:

I'll take wench #1, you can have the rest.

Nice 60. I'd like to pick one up some day.

Purchase a backing plate and frame from any auto parts store. Attach Mag lite brackets to the backing plate and put it all together. The MagLite brackets snap on the rollers....perfect fit.

That'll work and it's low buck too. Good point!
