So I installed some new, longer lexus/toyota hub studs today .
they were a little longer then what I hoped
could've been slightly shorter... but they'll work.

http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_studs.php

my measurement of these lexus IS300/toyota extended studs are:

M12 X 1.50, 52.5 mm actual thread length,
14.20 knurl diameter, 7.5 knurl length
total length 63 to seat - 68 over-all )
( there is a 3 mm shoulder between the threads and knurl )

could be in error +/- .5 mm

mechanical things...

I had to bend (hammer) the backing plate
in a specific location, in order to insert the longer studs.
they just barely clear, but do

wheel reinstalled...

there are .25" spacers installed...
just not the billet ones I purchased.
farked that order up because I didn't pay attention,
and failed to account for the correct center bore diameter.
so I'll need to have muh billet spacer's machined out if I keep 'dem.

btw... these are open end ET 6 spline drive lug nuts
just so it's understood, there's a s*** ton of thread bite
;)

^ I've since painted the stud thread tips black
looks less obtrusive IMO... maybe a pic of that tomorrow (IAGAS) :dunno:

few questions... if ya have the know

my front factory studs were only 30 mm long,
was thinking they were 40 mm. sooo...

1. what is the actual length of the rear studs ? 40 mm ?

2. do the factory Rr. studs have a shank at their base ? how long ?

3. what is the tacoma's front hub diameter ? 97.1 ? More ?

google search brought up too many answers
and they were inconsistent and possibly not reliable.
I could pull one and measure...
but was hoping to know, without doing that.

^ I'm asking specific to the 1st gen, early to mid
as they may be different on the later '01 - '04 tacoma

clarification would be appreciated :)

I used some '04 Matrix/Corolla rear studs on my front hubs. They are about the same length, but have a shoulder with no threads.

Can I see some straight on and maybe a 1/4 straight on of that bumper from about knee high? Is it AllproOffroad? I'm trying to decide what bumper I wanna get and Allpro's website is lacking on the mounted pictures.

think I got it all worked out...

had someone local, lathe the center bore out for $20.
they fit great now... stronger then the universal cast spacers.
Slightly thicker too... billet = 6.2 mm Vs. cast = 5 mm

also painted the stud's thread tips ( outboard of the lug nut )
just thought it would look cleaner this way...
^ tho' "good looks' isn't my primary concern

here's those...

WANTED... new home for 4 ea universal 5mm wheel spacers
$ 20. shipped - L 48 :grinpimp:

Trick question, does anyone know the hole size, knurl length and stud length for our wheel studs. Front and Rear if they are different lengths and or sizes....? On a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser...

I'll be curious to see how your spacers work out. I ran corolla studs up front with 1/2" spacers, but got annoyed with the vibes at speed (no hub ring on the spacers). Since you have aftermarket wheels, I assume they'll be okay.
