Picked up a first gen in July to replace a built out LJ I sold earlier in the year. This serves as an auxiliary daily and now will take over trail / camping duties from my 5th gen 4Runnner which is my primary vehicle. That said I've been driving this a lot lately.

Goal is the "OEM +" theme with a smidge of bush truck.

Baselined the snot out of it:
- timing belt / water pump
- Lower ball joints
- bushes all over
- new rear axle assembly
- rear bearings / seals
- front diff actuator
- Dobinsons C59-134 / IMS coils in the front
- Dobinsons IMS rear shocks
- General Spring HD springs
- 235/85/16 Yokohama M/T

Phase 2:
- skids
- sliders
- hidden winch mount
- 10k winch

As of now Phase 1 is complete. This has been a very fun project to do, thankful to have a great shop to rely on when I outkick my coverage.

They do and the "pizza cutter" was a goal from the onset.

If I re-gear it would make the 33" option (255/85/16) much more palatable, but I think the 235's pair nicely with the smaller size of the 1st gen's.

I wanted adjustability and Dobinsons have performed flawlessly over 60k on my other Toyota.

Big fan and fit build goals.
