Anyone headed to Expo East this year? I'm thinking about it to do one last trip before deer season takes up my weekends until the spring. I know it will probably be full of the "do it for the 'gram crowd", but think it may be worth checking out at least once.

@bamabrock I've thought about going the past few years, but always thought it was overpriced and full of the "gram crowd" like you said. But, my cousins have a cabin in Hendersonville, NC so I may think about coming over for a day or two.

@Bama4door I'm thinking about going with my 416 with RTT in tow and running the GA traverse East to West on the way back. I'm just going to do the cheap entry fee and camp option.
I like that idea about running the GA traverse to get there, I've been wanting to check that out for a while. I need to check out the ExPo website and look into registration and options they have.

The dates haven’t worked out for me in the past. This year looks better. I’m considering giving it a shot to check it out!

I'm planning on going. I've been the las 2 years and I'm curious how it will go at the new location.

I'm thinking about just getting the weekend pass with camping for $135. I dont know if the classes are worth the jump up to the $320 price since I've been wheeling since I could drive and my truck doesn't have enough pieces of flair to reach overlander status

The price for camping has gone up for sure. Its the $135 for the camping weekend pass plus the $55 vehicle pass.

My thoughts on the classes. I did the classes back in 2016. Most of the classes I did was stuff I honestly already felt like I knew. I took a class on lockers.. really didn't hear anything about how to use them that I didn't already know. Same for airing down tires. Some of the classes seemed very basic for very very novice people. The most interesting class I took was about splicing rope.

My plan is to not do classes and get all the free talks the offer. There is still plenty of stuff to do.
