Having owned vehicles from a turbocharged mitsubishi to trucks to Jeeps, I've experienced the full spectrum of what expectations I should have out of engine modifications. That being said, I wouldn't mind a bit more get up and go. I know about the pedal commander, and I saw a guy on the east coast offering tunes for $800, with HP gains in the 20s and TQ gains in the 30s. On the GXOR fb page, I saw a short chain about this AEM air filter, with positive feedback. All of it seemed to be butt dyno results, and I really haven't seen mention of this filter anywhere else for the 460s. I'm not a fan of oily K&N filters, especially in my area.

If $43 gets me at least few extra hp and a half of mpg improvement, it seems worth it? Anyone else running one of these?

I need to do some exhaust work too, as I'm worried about melting bike racks and bike tires with the way the exhaust runs straight out the back. Thinking of chopping it off around the axle (including that 3rd resonator) and turning it out or down. Would it be worth (beyond butt dyno speculation) to swap in a magnaflow while I'm down there?

Regarding the third resonator, when I was doing some rock crawling last year over a bolder field, I was stuck and backed into a bolder that pushed my tailpipe, from the exhaust tip, pushing it forward. Consequently, the exhaust hoop that goes over the rear axle, it pinched it off. In the middle of nowhere and now I have no exhaust! Had to unbolt the third resonator and removed the entire section tail pipe to get my rig to breathe again and get home.
I had to drive home some 100 miles that day and then go several more days waiting for my Lexus dealer to get the part in so I could replace it. Without that resonator, I could not notice any difference in noise, exhaust smell, performance or anything else.
Now, the question is, is there any long term issues not having it?? I personally didn't want to take the chance so as noted above, went right away to order an new one, this time without the factory optioned chrome tip! That I think didn't help since it adds a few more inches to the tailpipe length.

I hacked off the rear resonator a while back now after I couldn't get the crappy chrome tip to come off to save my life. After mutilating the area I found it best just to hack it all off as a turn down just rear of the axle. No added noise, no added exhaust fumes, no issues with heat and the fuel economy hasn't changed either.
