After giving it a lot of thought I have decided its time to let my expo trailer go. I’m feeling the urge to start a new project.

Basics (I’m sure I will forget something,)

Known Issues

I had to re-sew a few inches of the zipper to the tent fabric just above the ladder.

The lid of the trailer (under the tent) is marked up from my storing my upper doors there for thousands of miles

I put the trailer on its side in New Mexico a couple of years ago, which scratched the lid & fender, and broke a marker light (I replaced the light, I have always viewed the scratches as trophies)

FYI the entire weight of the trailer is on the fender in this pic

Trophy scratches....

The springs are tired and need to be replaced (they are fine when unloaded, but with a full load of water / fuel it bottoms out sooner than I would like.

If I had it to do over again I would not have mounted the 33” tires. The 33’s work fine, I just liked 30’s more.

If I were keeping it I would install new springs and change back to 30” tires, but since I have decided to sell it I do not want to put money into parts or a setup that a potential buyer may not be interested in.

At the asking price I will install new springs w/ new bushings, ubolts, etc to suit the buyer’s tire size preference. (Assuming a tire size between 29”-33”) The OE Jeep wheels and spacers can be easily swapped for run of the mill 15x8 or 15x7 steel wheels at the buyers expense (3” backspacing would match the current track width (roughly 58”))

$11,500

I pulled it out and took some new pics today.
I loathe when sellers hide imperfections, so...
The slide for the floor developed surface rust & stained the floor. I can probably clean it up w/ ospho but before I do here it is now.

This is finest zipper repair I have ever completed (yes it's the only one). I would assume someone with the slightest bit of skill could clean this up.
IMG_4496.webp

Unfortunately no one present at the repair met that description.
The zipper itself works flawlessly.

Carnage from the flop...

Behind a stock 62 on 31" tires. The trailer itself is dialed in to be towed by my jeep, which has a receiver hitch that is 5"+ higher off the ground than the cruiser. Using drawbars with different levels of lift/drop can level the trailer. The draw bar pictured is the one I put together for my old Tacoma. I would say it needs another 1-2" of difference to be level/ correct for this truck.

This is me (250lbs)standing on the end of the slide at full extension.

The refrigerator has a dedicated circuit and has been meticulously cleaned and dried after ever use.

The tent itself is in very good condition it has been dried and or aired out after each use

New price , $11,500 includes new springs (will need to know some tow vehicle specs prior to ordering) installed / setup to ensure level towing

I would love to come see this but I'm afraid if I do I will really want to buy it!! Are you still wanting the mangled 62 bumper I have?
My daughters at Clemson and I could justify a journey to visit you and stop and see her! Got my 62 back on the road this past May and now my DD. Ended up donating all the pieces I got from you to other MUD members as they weren't needed.

Funny I had planned on sending you a pm concerning the bumper. You are more than welcome to come take a look any time. Not sure how it would work out in conjunction with your meeting up w/ your daughter, but once this semester ends I would be able pull it up that way / meet somewhere up there.

Your not driving to Seattle soon are you?🙃

I forgot how nice this build was.

Great trailer at a great price, GLWTS!

Sent you a PM !
