Yeah, something like that. We've got a little wiggle room on the front side to account for things falling off on the highway. If everything goes oK we'll spend a day in the big city before heading out with y'all.

Probably a good idea. It gives you another 180 miles (round trip) to come on into Palmer and then go back to Eureka. But having services and supplies and last minute access to the shop might be a good thing. ;)

Mark...

sounds like a cool trip, and it's definately looking like a nice truck

Based on Peter's experience with his BJ74 on tires that are an inch and a half larger, I'm expecting a bit of rubbing on the back of the rear tire opening and on the top of the front of the fender. I'll be clearancing both with a ball pean as required.

Ball Peen.... nice :) The camera angle didn't help me but it looked like the front of the rear tires was tight. But like I said camera angles.

Looking very good! I like those bling wheels.

Are you towing the M101 behind you?

Well, surprisingly no rub on the lips of the wheel wells. A bit on the inside of the tubs and, as expected at the front of then fender on the inside. Mr Toyoda planned 70s perfectly to accept 37" tire and not a 1/4 inch more without trimming.

Looking great Bruce!! I really like the tent. How are they holding up? I have always wanted one but was concerned that I am to heavy for it.

Tent seem great so far. Peter has one too, if that answers your question.

Charla and I and the two dogs have spent quite a few nights in it but now that it's this high it'll be humans only from now on. The pooches will get the basement suite.

Yeah I started a similar repair on the last BJ74 before I sold it.

We are on the road to Alaska now (mile 54 of the AK hwy at the moment) and have had a few problems but things are generally great.

There are some updates in this parallel thread in the 70 series section. I'll likely update there for the duration of the trip.
