Hey guys, is there a Exhaust shop in the SF/ABQ area that is preferred. Coming from SF.

Thanks all

Thanks for keeping this thread at the top.
Two suggestions that might have been on the earlier posts, but I did not notice them.

Sandia Muffler
8820 Susan SE
Albuquerque, Nm 87123
505-265-0197

Ken, the owner, has a nicely built 4Runner and does great work.
I recently got a Magnaflow muffler for my GX460 from him.

Jim's Route 66 Muffler
4600 Central Ave SE
Albuquerque, NM 87108

Exhaust:
A-Real Muffler Shop
101 Virginia Street NE,
Albuquerque, NM

Hmmm Jim’s may not be what they used to be. @LX450JC right?
Did you have a better suggestion?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Juan is multitasking

@edt77 So as I recall @LX450JC had a mess from Jim’s on his Lexus and wouldn’t return there. Juan chime in if I’m wrong.
Juan has a shop he likes but is keeping it a secret so they don’t get so busy they can’t put glass packs on his work car 🤣🤣🤣
@krazykat69 recommendation on Sandia concurs with what I’ve heard from some jeep guys.
I have no knowledge on A-1.
I think there’s another shop in Rio rancho but can’t find the mention of it on here.
I think sandia is the way to go.
Hope this helps!

Lol you're right I was multitasking. Yeah I didn't like the work that Jim's did especially for what they charged. I don't know the name of the shop I go to but it is off of isleta just south of bridge on the east side. They've done good work and are very affordable.

I used MBS in Rio Rancho with the FJ40. They are at the top of the hill by the Honda dealer. They were recommended by Cruiser Dan. I can't give an opinion one way or the other since that was long time ago.

Ken Pepin, owner.
Ken has done several exhaust jobs for me. Muffler, Cats and o2 sensor, on my 80, muffler, tailpipe on my GX 460.
Ken owns a nicely built 4Runner. Does custom exhaust work , also

I used ABET in Santa Fe for my muffler install and exhaust reroute on my 4Runner. This was at least 8 years ago though.

This place:

There is a guy in Albuquerque named Abel who owns AAA Discount Muffler and Catalytic Converters.

He did the Flowmaster on my 5th gen 4runner. He strikes me as someone with a lot of attention to detail. It's a small shop, but don't let that fool you. He had one hell of a project car going when I was there. Blower and everything. I wouldn't think twice about asking him for custom work.

Sandia Muffler on Central used to be fast, cheap, and quality. Don't know anymore, but I'd try them.
