Hi guys, I have an issue with the exhaust/exhaust leak. And I have to move to another state really soon. I'll try to be brief on the issue.

When I was moving from Delaware to Ohio, 2007 100 series LC was showing unusual decrease in power on a road that was well inclined for 2 good miles. Was only able to about 35 mph. It was not pushing the vehicle well beyond that.
After about an hour at a less inclined road, something from the bottom of my car fell. ( couldn't stop to check at that point coz of highway and rain)
Upon reaching the destination, I realized there was a blurring sound when accelerating and less power.

So now, I have to travel to the east coast, 700 miles away.
1) when I face an inclined road and have less power, what do I do? Do I go on a lower gear?, then upto what rpm shall I be fine to go. Or so I use the '2nd start' or 'pwr' features?

2) Do you recommend a particular way of driving in the situation? Like taking breaks every couple of hours or driving at low speeds and stuff?

P.S : I'm not towing anything but my vehicle is full a person's worth of things when moving.

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you

You need to get up under the car and see what’s going on with your exhaust, if something “on the bottom of the car fell” you need to identify what it is. A 100 should not struggle up a moderate incline with the load you’re describing.

don’t circumvent the issue address it.

Have a look what actually fell off, if it's a muffler it would of made a huge noise and make your car much louder. Losing part of the exhaust shouldn't cause power loss that much that you're concerned about getting up a hill or going super slow. Ive taken my exhaust off at the first join for a day and didn't notice and power loss, just sounding like a dump truck.. Lol. Pwr will hold rpms higher before changing gears and second start will only stop it from going to first gear when you're stopped so will not help much. Have a look around underneath and engine bay to try find the cause otherwise it will just be a shot in the dark

The Cruiser market is hot right now. Just sayin'.

I would baby it at 25mph in the far left lane the entire time so you don’t possibly block the shoulder. Once you get to your destination I would find a local Meineke or Pep Boys if you’re lucky and have them take a look. They’ll know.

Just kidding. If something fell off my vehicle and it stopped moving fast and then smelled like burning I would probably check that out before driving it again.

Blurring is a visual effect, not an aural effect.

If your rig can barely maintain 35mph up ANY paved highway incline between Delaware and Ohio, you need to consult my newer thread about stey by step instructions on removing your AHC system. Immediately; do not pass go, do not collect $200.

@DesertLCruiser
How do you know something fell off your truck? Loud noises? See something? Any lights on on the dash? Do you happen to have an OBDII code reader? Did someone “borrow” your catalytic converters? Did you shift into L?
