Over the course of the past two weeks while trying to find the cause of an idle vibration, I discovered that the exhaust pipe has completely fractured on the downstream side of the muffler. The fracture is right on the weld where the pipe/muffler meet.

I'm thinking of having the muffler shop just weld a short radius 90° elbow on the muffler and dump it right at the end of the muffler facing downwards.

Any thoughts? I drove approximately 150 miles with it yesterday and nothing was unusually warm to the touch underneath with the exhaust just free-blowing out of the muffler.

Weld it up and cut off the resonator so it dumps into the PS rear wheel. Much safer.

How loud are these without the resonator? What about without a muffler all together and just a straight pipe?

Resonator makes them sound good. Straight pipes make them sound like WHAT DID YOU SAY!?!?!

My resonator and tail pipe cracked from the muffler completely and it's still quiet. How much muffling is the muffler doing?

It sounded deeper, almost Range Roverish, and I really liked it.

Had Midas reweld it for $55 and it’s held for the past few months.
