engine tag rivet removal, (SOLVED) (1 Viewer)

I am mounting Witt's End OBA bracket and it needs to go where the engine tag is mounted.
Before I just knock the heads off the rivets with a cold chisel, are they threaded in and will they come out if I slit the heads?

I know I've seen this topic. I searched for this under:

There's bunch of other stuff that needs to be done before I have to get medieval with a chisel...

Can't remember. For the S/C install, it had to be removed. I just ripped off the plate and can't remember any of it being an 'event'.

Use a Dremel and cut a notch for a screw driver. Screw them out.

i use a 1/8 drill bit

KISS the rivit CTR a tad bit a ta time NOT alot

head will just fall off ...........
