Engine serial number for importation

I’m about to send a troopy back to the US but was looking for the engine serial number. I saw some numbers above the alternator but they looked cast in not stamped so wasn’t sure if there is another spot, or different plate on the block?

Mine was stamped on the front right frame just aft of the shock absorber on the tire side. Easily visible once I cleaned and painted it.

Thats not the engine serial number. That’s your frame manufacturing number.

Two different things.

Ah. True. Happy to have found it tho. The alum name plate is worn.

Great thanks! I was struggling and didn’t want to have to degrease the whole engine.
