Engine Runs After Key Taken Out - 1HDT 93 HDJ81

Just got my new HDJ81 delivered yesterday and after driving it around the block and turning the engine off and removing the key, the engine continued to run for 20 seconds. Today it ran for 40 seconds after attempting to turn it off and removing the key. It has this weird timer attached that displays the time it stays on. Any idea what this device is or why the engine is running after being turned off with the key?

Does it have a turbo? May be a timer to let the turbo cool down.

Yes, the 1HDT is a factory turbo diesel, I will be installing a GTurbo and PDI intercooler with a ton of parts like seals, water pump, timing belt, accesory belts, gauges, radio, speakers, maybe new shocks and springs.

That's a turbo timer. Quite a useful thing to have. A quick google search will tell you what it does and why you might want one.
