Engine revs when AC compressor kicks on (1 Viewer)

Is this normal? Nothing crazy but the rpm's shoot from 1400 to 1600 rpm's when compressor is running

Why are your rpm's at 1400?

Hopefully only at startup and not when the engine's warm...

Its normal. The engine is keeping up with the AC's extra load.

Hi all, jumping on with a follow up question... Just noticed driving today that not only rpm jumps when AC compressor kicks in, but will also accelerate?? Can feel the gas pedal move away from my foot and increased acceleration every time the AC kicks on.... Still normal and just get used to it? Just never noticed it happen before.
