Just wondering the best type of block heater?
freeze plug or lower radiator hose or tank type?

For ease of installation the lower rad hose can't be beat. 15 minute install. I was running both block and recirculating on my 2H but I'm just running the recirculating on my 12H-T. The almost instant heat of the recirculating heater makes it the winner.

How bout posting a brand. Maybe a link.

the recirculator is great for winter. When its -30C or more it helps keep the combustion chamber nice and toasty. Also, good insulation under your hood helps too

Temro is the most popular brand in Canada. Canadian Tire, about $30can. You can get them in various wattages, 500 - 1000w I think.

i just got an espar. its awesome. set it for an hour before you plan on leaving and get into a nice warm truck. electicity is not an efficient way to heat anything. plus no more cords.

Can you clarify Johnnyboy? What is an espar?

Thanks

Not $30...

try espar or wabesto on google. All the info you need. easier to look at than to explain. Basic, a fuel driven coolant heater.
