Eibach opinions needed please...

Well it seems Eibach is entering the market to lift Land Cruisers, I have used the lowering springs on four different vehicles over the years. Always had great success with them also.

Seems their lift is quite popular in the GX market, coming along in the 80 series and recently 200 series also.

I have a 100 series and don’t “wheel” hard at all.

It‘s our third vehicle and we do take it to the beach and drive in the sand which is a lot of fun. That being said I recently got my 33” KO2s installed and it could use a little lift to well just look cooler! That’s the most important thing right, lol...

The shocks are new OEM Toyota that I installed last year.

For my needs this is really enticing! I just have a concern about cranking on factory TBs to get 2” as I do wish to keep a safe “rake” to the rig.

If you really want to try it, I’d just buy the rear springs, crank the torsion bar bolts a couple turns, and leave everything else as is, especially since you have new OEM shocks.

What was the biggest difference you noticed after the install?

Is the spring a progressive or linear rate?

Looking at their pic I don't think they understand the front suspension on the 100. Maybe a stock pic, their description sounds more like real world.

Confused as well.

Even the description refers to rigs w. coil overs. "For vehicles with front coil-over-shock suspension..."

I have the complete Eibach Pro-Truck lift system on my wife's 5th gen 4runner and it has been great. Its been on a year and half or so and about 30k miles and no sag, no blown out shocks or struts. It doesn't get wheeled hard but it does go offroad as my wife is a custom home builder and most of the lots she builds on are not cleared subdivision lots. It is also our main Colorado rig when we go skiing in the winter and it handles that with ease. A buddy of mine just put an Eibach kit on his 2020 F150 but it has only been a week so no real comparison yet. I would say Eibach is the best bang for the buck in suspension lifts.

I dont have the kit, but I just installed the shocks on all 4 corners yesterday. I have about 50mi on the shocks, and they are smooth. I would say they are comparable to AHC switch between Comfort and Sport (big dot on switch). Thats with OME TB's, and 863J springs. I hit some really rough paved agriculture roads at about 45mph and it was a little rough, but not horrible. Then again, I have 220k miles on my rig and it's not quite as tight as new. For the price these shocks are a great bang for the buck. Long term.... no idea. Maybe they'll feel even better as the miles go up, maybe not.

Been a while since I've posted here but I thought I'd give your thread a bump. Had the Eibach kit installed to replace a failed AHC system. Got the shocks and the HD rear springs along with OEM non-AHC front t-bars. It's hard to isolate the effects of the springs and shocks alone since I had pretty much the entire front suspension and steering rack bushings redone, but It's a great ride. Very similar to a higher setting on AHC. I'm very pleased with it so far.

Eibachs are lower rates than pretty much every other aftermarket spring available, but they have a taller free height. If you're stock, get the standard springs. If you're loaded up, have a rear bumper, drawers or any of the typical overland stuff, go for the HD springs. I'm happy with mine and I've got a bunch of junk going on back there.

Oof you're definitely right. Eibach just responded to my question. Their spring rate for the "Pro Truck Lift" for the 100s are at 150 lbs/inch. The 2865s are rated at 220. I'm rarely ever loaded in the rear with a factory bumper.

How do you like the ride with your current springs? I'm an AHC-lover, so I wanted something as close to that ride as possible and the Eibach kit delivers. I encourage giving Tanner Hallihan at Eibach a call and discuss your setup. He's a member here and his 100 was the test rig for development of the kit. I ran both the standard spring and the HD spring on my setup and the standard was too low for my liking.

I'm running the 2865 with oem tokico (stock length) shocks, due to recommendations from here. I still feel it a bit rough for my liking so I'm still exploring other options. I think I'm going stick with the ome springs but pair them with the eibach shocks all around. The 2865s gave me about 2inches of lift with the tbars cranked to give me a 1 inch rake. I'm starting to think the oem shock length is what's limiting my droop in which in hand affecting my drive comfort. Thanks for the info on Tanner at eibach. I'll definitely be in contact with him knowing someone on the other end having a 100.

Since I never really updated after my install-

I've been running their shocks in conjunction with the OME tbars + springs since the spring. They've been great; super predictable both on road and off. As I start spending more time in the desert I'll probably switch to something beefier but the Eibachs are great for my 70/30 on/off road driving.

I did see your post about some difficulties installing the kit - any updates on that whole situation as a "to know" before installation? Did Eibach resolve anything?
