I'm not happy with how poorly my Lokar ebrake rigging has held up over the last winter (cables seized). And since I have to replace my (junkyard bought) Eldorado calipers in the back, I'm thinking of swaping them for a pair of Monte Carlo calipers, which are just the same, sans ebrake bracketry.

So if I go that route, I'm considering my options for an ebrake. I don't want to use a line lock, since that changes it to pretty much just a parking brake and nothing more. I've seen the transfer case brakes, but from the looks of it, the disc method is just a conversion for old tcases that came factory with a drum ebrake installed.

So for those of you who've converted your 60 or 62 to rear disc and NOT used the Eldorado calipers, what did you do for an ebrake?

Hmmmm, no suggestions, eh?

After no luck finding viable options, it seems the tcase ebrake might be the best way to go for me.

For those of you running one of the tcase disc ebrake conversions, does it work fairly well? Will it hold the truck on a slope or when in drive @ 1000 RPM? Will it slow the truck down considerably if you give it a yank while rolling?
