I hope you-all get this to work. The effectiveness of a rear lock--front TRAC combo is fantastic. Full turning capability and added traction. :)

really interested in the progress... so what's the latest scoop on this?

What think the A-Trac system if all wheels are spininng . ? the A-trac gonna lock all . ?

Other case .. ( I'm with my crazy ideas ) if you bypass the ECU and activate the A-Trac and the rear locker and you are Spinning both rear wheels at time .. the A-Trac gonna think " spinning " ha I gonna lock both

I believe A-TRAC works based on how much torque each wheel is getting since theoretically both diffs are open. But when the rear is locked.. both wheels get 50/50 torque theoretically speaking so they're not "spinning" meaning no torque..

TRAC is dual-mode based on throttle. If you put the pedal down you can spin all the mud you need to out of your tires.

Locker keep the system from activating on that axle because both wheels are turning at the same speed.

Yap I know that .. just wondering if yoy bypass the original setup to activate de A-Trac and the rear locker both at the same time.

So, has this been figured out yet? It's been almost a month since the last post.:crybaby:
I've added the "free" A-Trac to my Cruiser, but would really like the capability to use the rear locker at the same time.:bounce2:

I still don't have access to an FJ Cruiser but I would be happy to work with somebody over the phone or through pm's to try this mod.

I really want this to work, but I hate wiring.

Ok, working with Alex I tried the new method, jumping the blue/yellow over the black/orange for power..

And..

Woot Woot! It works!!

All systems are working normaly, no error lights or indicators. I can turn the locker on/off with ATRAC on, or I can turn ATRAC on/off with the locker on, or just ATRAC, or just the rear locker. VSC is working fine in normal 2H, no ABS errors.

A full write up on the mod is posted here:

A big big big thanks to Alex for all his e-mails and help doing this!

Sweet! Haven't read it yet, but I'm gonna try it tomorrow.:D
How about the free cruise control, now?

I'm just wondering with you have a stick truck with circles on both axles and I have a stick truck with an x in the driveshaft. ^^...

I know mine is the center diff.. I just have no idea what yours mean.

EDIT due to idiocy.... the mod works and works perfectly on a 6MT. AlexH, I thank you. I am very thankful of your geniousness. :D

definitely. i don't own an FJC and am probably at least 10 yrs away from considering one.. but this is an awesome mod!

I am sure that Mr. T will be fixing this glitch.... the '07's might wind up being the most desireable year when all is said and done.

I think that you can add cruise control by simply adding the switch to the steering wheel. That will cost you 80 bucks or so. Wanna give it a try?

Mr T is gonna send a hit man to Albuquerque if you're not discrete about this. :D
