I bought a sh*tbox 2001 audi a6 for my parents to drive while they're here visiting over the summer, its got some pretty terrible bodywork by the previous-previous-owner and a bunch of rust around said body work. I'm thinking of trying to fix it in the laziest/crappiest way possible so that it looks "10ft ok".

So ... proposals for the laziest/but easiest fixes?

Spray foam + a utility knife and some spray paint?
Spray foam and bedliner?
News paper + bondo?

What's the worst you've seen, that you think would make the best results for the cheapest price? I'm curious to try some terrible body work, test my new sandblaster, and get a bit of practice painting before I spray the cruisers...

Context it's like a 500 dollar car... thats running surprisingly well but is going to get as close to 0 time and 0 effort before being flogged off or scrapped for 500 dollars again in a few months... Just want it to look "ok-ish" over the summer.

Matching silver is impossible. Best way to make it look good is keep it clean. Anything else is a wasted effort.
Looks better at 10' than anything you could do to if from now on.

I'm surprised the " make your dad do it " option wasn't suggested.

Somehow managing to talk someone else into doing it for you would be right in your wheelhouse. :flipoff2:

You misunderstood... I want him working on the house, not on some car I'm not planning to keep 🤣
