Looks like I am out for this run, just took the truck to the exhaust shop to have a new downpipe made. They are busy and it's going to be a couple of days before it is done... That sucks! I was really looking forward to this one... Perhaps there will be another in the summer in Parry Sound? or elsewhere?

okay, it is calling for a s*** show this weekend so here is my suggestions.
dress for winter and wet.
bring rubber boots if you have them and a change of clothes, we will be getting wet.
i am planning on lighting a fire for lunch on the trail saturday so bring something you can cook over an open fire.
TOW POINTS are a neccesity, go to princessauto and buy those cheap $5 hooks, they come with the bolts and take 10 min to install.
i will be bringing the rag top but not sure if the winch will be working or not. i will also be bringing the 100 ft and the 50 ft tuggums so bring straps and clevices.
i predict a extremely fun run on Saturday, mud, snow, wet rock, rain, clay and more clay. those running street tires will need a bit more "skinny pedal" application but i feel they will do just fine.
hot meal at lunch should bring the spirits back up.

those hooks are now 12 bucks! lol, just installed a 2nd one infront, got 2 in the back. winch is working, topped up my tcase fluid (looks like i have a front output seal leak this time, doh, no biggy i hope), topped up my tank + 2 small jerry cans, built my folding sleep deck, spare is under it, and just packin it all tonight!
bringing my buddy with his 05 Xterra Offroad (bone stock, all seasons) so he can play a little and see how he really likes wheeling, prolly just try north trail and maybe just getting to basecamp will be fun enough for him(btw, he's jonesin for an fj40 so take it easy on him, lol), then riding with me for south trail (unless he gets brave

okay Wayne, spoke to Matt, we're gonna leave from the base of th 400/weston road at around 10 am, goin slow, we should be at the same meet spot as last year (spot B on the map, that restaurant on the corner of horseshoevalley road and penetanguishine road, just after you cross over the 400), around noon.

I was thinking about this and Matt's offer, but I don't think I can do it. Although I bet the westy would make it to base camp
However that would leave my wife for 3 days without a vehicle with 3 boys, and would not make me very popular. Also I was planning on bringing my 9 year old with me and a friend with a couple 60's from Barrie, his aren't running either, so coming solo would suck for them. They were both looking forward to it as well.
On the off chance I get my truck back by the weekend then maybe I can get it dailed in for next week, I have been missing driving it.
Cool side note my neighbour just picked up a 62, maybe he'll join the club too...
Anyway, let's get back up there ASAP (or elsewhere).
