Got one of these sent to me by mistake. I bought what I was told was a rear view mirror for an early 1966 FJ40 FST. I have been looking for a rear view mirror for my 66 FST for a while now with no success. Anyone for a possible trade?

PM sent. Nothing to trade. But I'll purchase outright if you are interested in selling. Shipping to San Diego. Please let me know.

Sent you a pm.

We're you able to find the 66 style mirror? I talked to Old Red and he mentioned you may still have this mirror available. I would gladly pay you for that one.

To help with your search, I think this is the style you are looking for. The left one is the one out of my 64 LV and is metal. The right one was in a 66 LV and feels like pot metal/plastic.

I took the mirror on the right off my '65 fj45lpb for the picture. I thought that maybe it wasn't original because it feels like plastic/pot metal. The LV style one one the left is an extra one I had.

That is the 68 thru 77 standard rearview mirror. Those are not hard to find and still may be available from Toyota new. The mirror is design to snap off the base if something hits it like a head in a accident. This was a DOT thing here in the US.

The rearview mirror of the topicstarter is as far as I know a 1958 to 1963 rearviewmirror.
If that is correct, where there any differences between the Hardtop and FST models?
