Update built the first restored early electric motor out of some cores obtained over the years . Torn down cleaned rebuilt, motor and park function work great. What do you think? I am not taking any orders yet,as this will be a winter project. Maybe this winter or one to come.

I would take 3 sets.

Nice! Early were body color and later were grey right?

I had the most difficulties with getting the "parking brake" work properly. Stopped just too late and went again, and again...

There is a market for the rubber boot.:)

John, a great job, are you going to be overhauling motors for compassion.

Well not really. Supposed to be a winter project but I have dragged a couple IH8MUD members along and now they are taken care of. Thanks, and Thanks for asking. John

There was a detailed article on smaller electric motor rebuild for older british cars in " Practical Classics ", a few months back. It should be a simmilar process. I have the article, I'll try to post it here.

They present a small dilemma, would have to shine up the rest of my rig's interior to match the motors, or scuff up that nice paint job to match the interior. I'm leaning towards the former.. ;)
