DYI front camera relo cover

A while ago I relo'd my front camera to the front of my TJM bumper stealing the mounting idea from a thread here (forget who's) and trimed the original TJM plastic cover plate. That worked great bit still left the bracket and wiring exposed and it looked a little unfinished. I had my son-in-law 3D print me a cover. Its a "prototype" that we may refine to look better but it works. I ran with it at LCDC.

I like that. I have an aftermarket grill for my '18, which does not have a spot for the camera so I zip tied it. I bought the extender kit which of course didn't work..

stupid question (i am good at those)... why did you have to relocate the camera from the original grill location? considering a TJM bumper in the future and so thoughts appreciated! DS

The OEM location of the camera points down on the bumper such that it really isn't very useful after you add the bumper. The projected tire path graphics end up mostly on top of the bumper. I thought I had a pick of the screen "before relo" but I can't seem to find it. Here is my thread showing what the "after relo" looks like. Its a definite improvement.

TJM T13 front camera relocation

Been working on relocating my front camera. With the T13 and camera in stock location, the frot camera was basically useless unless I wanted to know if anything was just sitting on my bumper. I played with different locations including a couple under the truck that provided views that showed...
