DVD Drive Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the DVD drive unit from the glovebox of the 2008 LC?

Mine is just spitting out the DVD without loading. I get the error message on the screen about Consult to the dealer. I had the car in the dealership to do some minor maintenance and replace a bad parking sensor and I asked them about the DVD drive. They said I needed to have it replaced @ $2,115. I said no. Like most I just use my phone for GPS anyways. But I thought I might try to remove the drive and see if I can take a look at fixing it myself.

Is this the rear entertainment DVD, the audio DVD, or the navigation DVD?

Navigation DVD in the glove box.

This is the removal procedure for the DVD player. If you need instructions for steps 2 through 8 let me know... I'm assuming they're just removing some screws or tabs or else I would've expected those sections to be broken out.

Thanks linuxgod. More involved than I was hoping for. Do you have something for #6, the passenger side knee airbag?

Most of steps 2-8 are just removing bolts and clips. Step 5 also has you disconnect the airbag connector. Not a big deal, just make sure the battery is disconnected beforehand.
