dvd changer skipping cd's

The CD's on the 01 LX seem to have a kind of static problem, and they skip periodically. It's never the same track or the same cd which has made me conclude that it's not the CD's but the system itself. is this a known issue with the mark levinson system ? What should I have looked at by the dealer ? the dvd-changer or the whole unit ?

sounds like an issue with your unit, this is not a common problem.

well i read some posts where the mark levinson dvd changer isnt really happy with computer created CD-R's. So i tried some original cds and they seem to be ok so far.
but what's funny is that a 90 LS with older nakamichi unit runs the cd's just fine.
is this wierd or ... ?
