Well guys nov the 9th is quickly approaching. This is our departure. We are having a send off at Lokey Trucks in Tampa (I-275 & Dale Mabry). Nov 9th send off is in the afternoon. Everyone is invited! We are driving out for the 1000 race and then headed to cabo and back. 7500 miles in 12 days!

We have a camera guy from Truck Universe and an editor from Petersons coming with us. There are 8 of us going in three rigs. My Tacoma a TJ unlimited and a new chevy diesel running veggie oil. We will be pulling Campa Trailers with us as well. The Chevy is our trip leaders new rig with just about every do dad and gadget you could want running 38" toyo's

We have a site in connection with Scott Brady's Expedition West. He has a thread and page dedicated to our trip. We will be uploading daily pics and trip progress reports to him so you can follow our progreess on the web.

The trip is broke down into several parts. Part on is the road trip to Tuscan for a meet and great and publicity op. Then part is crossing the border and then crossing the Altar Desrt, the Salt flats and the Colorado river. Part three is the trip to Ensenado and meeting up with some of the race teams and media. THen 2 days before the race tack the 1000 track to La Paz for the finish of the 1000. From there we head to cabo and then start a 70 hours marathon home for Thanksgiving

Where are you going to get the biodiesel down there? They frown on bringing that much fuel or whatever they want to call it across the border? We were hassled with just a 50 gallon diesel tank mounted in the bed of one of our chase trucks...
