Now That The Snow Is Melting And The Roads Are Drying Up, The Dust That Gets Inside My Lc Is Almost Too Much To Handle, Is There Something I Can Fix Replace Or Is This Just A Common Problem With Lc's. I Have Looked At All My Door Seals, And They Seem To Be In Good Condition.

Mine was pretty bad when I got it but after I adjusted the rear gate the dust problem was 90% better (no more rattle either), my next step would be to replace rubber seals but I'll probably live with what I've got for now.

Did you check your fuel level sending unit inspection plate??? Don't know how much dust could really get in there unless it's missing, but it's worth looking at.

There is a filter for the heater/ac stuff, id look into that first. I bet your local NAPA or equivilant would carry them.

Do you hear wind noise by your doors? If so, the seals are not OK.

Replaced them in my '83 & it made a big difference.

Say WHAT?? I've heard of this in newer TLCs, but not in 62s. s*** if there really is a cabin air filter, I need one BAD. I was prepared to rip apart my whole dash so I could clean the AC condenser and heater core because I thought they had gotten all stopped up with crap.

are the rear wheel wells rusty? my old 60 was pretty rusty and and the dust was horrible. when i took off the inside panels the area was filled with dirt, about 5 inches. i was going to spray some of that foam insulation (home depot, for houses) in there to block it off, but i sold it before i got around to it.
hope this helps,

My 82 had the same thing. About 5" of dirt in the rear wheel wells. Only thing is there isn't a spot of rust on the whole truck. No idea how it got in there. ??? .

Yeah Ther Is Some Rust On Quarters, It Looks Like That Might Be The Problem. I Might Just Shove A Bunch Of Rags In There And See If It Helps, Gonna Repair Rust Sometime In Near Future, Already Started Grinding And Cutting On One Side .
