Come on JP, you were already taking off the weekend to go to Windrock, why not wheel 1 hour from home?

is that durhamtown plantation?? Googled it and that is all i found. Might be interested. How hardcore is it? I don't need to go down there and break something and not be able to come back with it.

Well i think i am in. I am gonna do some last minute checking on the dent. Hasn't really been field tested but the pics from the website don't look too bad. Call me belmontl 325-2313

The old trails at Durhamtown weren't technically difficult but when muddy they were a mess. The old trails have been closed and new trails opened which I've heard are 'better' - but I haven't been on the new trails yet.

I think the old section is still open. The hillclimbs, mud pit, and rock garden etc. The new section is a technical section that was cleared by a Jeep club and have just recently, past couple months, started running them. They aren't marked well, and if the group is big enough I think Mike will run them and show you around.

Either way we'll see what they are like.

I'd heard the same thing as Steve but it turns out the old section is still open and unchanged. The new trails are located on the opposite side of the property and the trails are hardly marked at all. We found 1 technical trail that was actually pretty good, it's a small creek bottom with 4 or 5 2 1/2' rock ledges and is all of about 250 yards long, but for DT it counts.

The rest of the new section is decent unless you hit it after 6" of snow melt from the last week, lots of hill climbs and a sloppy mess.
