Has anyone used the new dupilcolor system?

I used the Duplicolor paint shop system for a temporary paint job after body work. Initially I had plans to do a nicer paint job at a later date, but was pretty happy with the outcome and scrapped the plans for another finish.

Real easy to work with and sprays out pretty nicely. It suited its purpose for me.

I no longer have the truck, but could probably scrounge up a pic or two and post if interested in seeing it.

How did the paint hold up?

Held up well on an ungaraged truck that gets parked under the trees. It's a lacquer paint and i didn't apply a top coat, although you can apply a gloss or matte clear to finish it off and for added protection. The selling point is ease of use.

I was happy with it and would use it again if a super nice restoration paint job was not the goal. It's also pretty inexpensive.

It's expensive but it will do the job. MY take after painting my 40 with it was I should have done it with the correct paint in the first place. The paint Shop stuff seems to flake off when hit with something.

Here's a pic of the truck I painted with paint shop. Painted the whole thing for under $40 and no experience. Didn't have any problems with flaking.

We usually used it on weekends to drive to our cabin which was up a rough gravel road. It did get its fair share of chips from the gravel....easy to touch up/ repair though. Sold it about a year after I painted it, don't know how it's holding up now - 3 years later.....

I would still use it again for a quickie paint job. :meh:
