In a pinch you can use washers on each wheel stud.

You are kidding right?

Just about any good rim place (Discount, American, Summit) can order unpainted rims in any backspacing (reversed shells for very low backspacing)

I bought my old 2" BS rims from Trailready (yes they do standard non beadlock rims too).

Only problem with 2" bs rims is your scrub radius. By moving the center of the tire that much out you are having to pull the tire around the steering knuckle. It makes it a bit harder to steer. It is also hard on bearings. But then so are large tires ;)

Personaly I loved my 2" BS rims.

Uh no, it said in a pinch and I've done it over the years with no issues. Not the best solution, but will work.

:D I see we share the same love for them :D

Sorry dude. I totally missed this thread. It's been a busy week.... :P Anyway, you should have all the info now, but this is for archives....

I have never heard one damn good thing about 4WPW. There's one right down in Salt Lake and most everyone that's on the boards (pirate and a local board) absolutely refuse to go there. So, I figure I'll never even bother tryin' 'em.

As for Summit, believe me, you could end up gettin' the same cock and bull story there as well. The thing you have to do is tell them your buddy just got some last week, but you forgot what part number he used (just give 'em some b.s. of your own). Also tell 'em that you just spoke to another Sumit Rep and they told you to call US Wheel and see if they can do it and so you did call US Wheel and they did say you could do it, you just have to have the outer shell reversed. Then if they still don't know what they're doin', have 'em get a US Wheel rep on the phone for a 3-way. If that doesn't work, hang up and call back and talk to somebody else and try again. Dude it took me 3 times callin' 'em before the sales rep knew what I was talkin' about, but then he transferred me to order entry or something and that person was clueless so I had to give it another go. Luckily the guy was super cool and was like, Dude let's get US Wheel on the phone with us and figure this out. Did that and he finally got it straightened out. I got my wheels with 2.0" backspacing about 10 days later. Anyways, the dude I talked to was named Perry and his extension is 2213.

So anyway, I guess Summit sucks too, but atleast I got the wheels I wanted...
