dual pulley alternators (1 Viewer)

I've heard there is a Toyota dual pulley alternator that can be used on the 2f. Is this true? What I'm thinking is using the extra pulley as the idler to replace my newly departed smog pump. I know Mean Green has a dual pulley alt, but they're way too expensive.

Anybody done anything like this?

MY fj-62 has a stock two pulley alternator on it. Go buy a 62 alternator and use yours as the core charge.

I forgot to mention that I also do nto run my air pump and just meassured for a shorter belt. One of my pulleys is not being used right now. When I get a new pulley for my air pump(long story) I will put a regular belt back on. I am sure I have spoken to much so I will go now. HTH
