Dad's latest project, few weeks ago he picked up a 1999 HZJ105 "Snowy" edition.

The "Snowy" edition was a limited run in '99 that commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Snowy Hydro Scheme here in Australia
The snowy scheme saw the first Landcruisers come to Australia.

Dad is the second owner and the first owner has had it serviced here at our workshop since day one.
Early in it's life the truck was cut and extended into a dual cab ute by the previous owner.
Truck came with a dual battery system already

So far mods we've done include:

- 3 inch Dobinson lifted coils, Dobinson shocks and steering damp - fitted last weekend
- Ironman deluxe winch bar and Ironman 12000 pound winch - fitted today :)

Future plans include solid rear camper tray, some decent rubber and whatever else mum and dad deem fit.

Hope you enjoy the build as much as we do :)

Cheers Tim

Thanks. That is a realy cool truck. What transmission/transfer case do the 105s come with?

Such a neat truck. Nice find!

Just the standard Toyota 5 speed manual, full time 4wd with the center diff lock. The 105 series here in australia is live axle front where as the 100 series is independent. As far as I know the snowy has the same trim as a GXL but with lumbar support seats and factory fog lights. I'm sure we'll find more things as we take it apart.

So the blue truck scored a new set of muddies, 285/75R16 BFG KM2s. Which were quickly swapped onto the white truck for our trip to the Victorian high country this coming long weekend.

Why do all, the Aussie 100s have big lifts and such tiny fat tires?
I'm sorry, but it looks really silly.

They spend most of their life on the black top. I suggested 315s at the time but dad is rather conservative ;)
