Yes, I did a search and could not find a direct answer to my querry. I have a 96 80 Series, 140K miles, new radiator, new headgasket and now I'm thinking about a supercharger. Also, ARB/12k winch, dual batteries, Kaymar rear with tire carrier, long range fuel tank, J Springs, 285's and Hannibal rack. Yes, the truck is a bit overweight but it serves its purposes quite well. Before I take the plunge I have a couple concerns:
1. I have a dual battery setup and I'm now concerned this may reduce airflow to the engine (thanks C-Dan). Please share your thoughts on this as I don't want to blow another headgasket. I do planning on towing a ski boat that's the main reason I'm considering the mod. Looking for a used Nautique, Mastercraft or Centurion.
2. Where would I relocate the washer bottle to? Currently it sits on Slee's custom brackets. With a blower there isn't much room left. Anyone have any ideas/pics?
3. Note, this is not a supercharger debate as I have read all those posts and have a pretty good idea on peoples opinions.....except for Junk he wasn't very clear.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Cheers,
David...

I would also like to know more about how the second battery box could possibly affect the airflow to the engine cooling?

The way mine is set up it in no way impeeds airflow/cooling of the engine, would be curious to see pics.

I think he might mean airflow to the engine via the intake???

not the cooling system...

not sure, just playing devils advocate...

That would make a little more sense  if that is the case just install a snorkel and problem solved.

My main concern was the extra battery tray reducing airflow into the engine compartment. Maybe I'm just being paranoid about overheating???

not much air gets into the engine compartmant from that area

Maybe just a little paranoid. Of course sometimes a little paranoia is a good thing.

Use Georges idea of the bracket - that's where mine is.

2nd batt may not mess with air flow but it does impact the cooling because it takes up space and therefore impacts it negatively.

Or you could just put the factory 4 litre bottle in

I'm reviving a real old thread because the last word on this was that it couldn't be done.

We just put the factory 4 litre bottle in with a supercharger with dual batteries.

Yes. It is tight.

Yes. It can be done.

Yes you have to cut stuff fearlessly.

Yes, that is the factory bottle (or most of it) stuffed behind the cruise control module cover (or most of it) and it is full with 1 gallon of wiper fluid.

Yes, it really is a '96 OYOT.

:D
