So I wrapped up installing the Ironman Stage 3 Upgrade including the Upper and Lower Trailing Arms

On the Drivers side Rear there is a bracket welded to the OEM UTA that is then connected to a mini ball joint on a hinge.

Although the IM parts came with a clamp on bracket that mimic the OEM it wasn't quite right and I had to fabricate something
The clamp on placed the bracket way too forward and the bracket with the 2 lines would not reach.
The ideal placement would have been right over the adjustment locking nut which wasn't possible either.

In searching for what this mechanism was someone on the board mentioned auto leveling headlight height sensor...
But in the parts diagram (which is hard to interpret) I find "Suspension Ride Height Sensor Left Rear" -- 8940860040

The reason I bring this up is that I felt like this component needed to be attached and adjusted as it seemed to be some sort of height adjustment sensor
But I haven't heard anyone mention it.

Does it calibrate itself?
Is this part of the KDSS sensor and does adjustment of this play a part in the infamous KDSS lean?

Mine seemed pretty level following my install about 1/2" higher on the passenger side.
I'm gonna let it settle and do a comparison measurement and write up a post

I'll post pics when I get home.

Kdss as implemented on the 200 series land cruiser is a purely hydraulic system with no electrical parts.

This sensor has no relationship whatsoever with kdss lean.

It is a height sensor, that figures out if the rear end is high or low compared to the static height, which the auto leveling computer uses to adjust the aim of the headlights up or down to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

And do you know what those 2 lines that run along the UTA are? they are zip tied to the bracket that also has the attachment for the height sensor.

I placed the attachment of the ball joint at the furthest end of the slot.
The truck was lifted almost 3"
I'm assuming I should probably not worry about it unless I notice the headlights are aiming way off?

I seem to recall one being to the abs wheel speed sensor wires but someone else more knowledge should verify that.

Yep. Abs wiring from both rear hubs.
