I've got a 1998 LC with the electric power seat + lumbar adjustment. Passenger side works great. Driver's side, the "up/down" mechanism just grinds away without doing anything.
1) I'm assuming there's a plastic worm gear or something like it that's stripped in there. I see lots of references to replacement worm gears from Gramiviti for the 80-series.... anything equivalent for the 100 series?
2) Unfortunately its stuck "all the way up", and I'm 6'3". Its already tight in an LC (anyone figured out how to add 3 inches of legroom ). Anyone know a quick hack to get the seat down w/o taking the seat out? The motor is in a hard to view location, but I'm betting there's a crank or something I could turn if I got the right tool fished in there?
My backup strategy is to shatter my femurs, somebody help quick
