2016 GX460 w/ 55k miles.

The driver seat rocks back and forth on its bracket slightly- about 1/8". It's enough to be annoying and I cant find the immediate cause.

Is this a known problem? Bolts are tight so I'm thinking its the assembly itself.

Never heard (read) of it before on MUD, but not to say it hasn't been discussed on other GX forums.
Try having someone sit rocking the seat while you're behind them feeling with your hand under the seat rear what might be moving and what seems solid. You should be able to feel two mating components, one that is solid to the seat, seat rail and floor and the other mounted on the seat that's moving.
I'd do that before removing the seat because with the seat out you may not have enough leverage to duplicate the problem.

So I took it to a local dealer to look at the seat rocking issue and find a rattle.

They quoted me on a complete interior replacement to the tune of $15k.

Absolute insanity.

Back in the day of older HONDAS the metal bushings between the bolts on the chair frame you could replace and that fixed the issue however not sure of lexus has that or not . Ill do some digging

Thats insane. One of the many reasons people joke about dealers.

If you care to dive into it yourself, I’d say raise the seat as high as it goes and have a helper rock it while you inspect underneath. There’s a chance you’ll see the slop where it appears it shouldn't be (though it is stuffed under there).

Do you use the auto seat ingress/egress feature? I was genuinely worried about this becoming a problem with mine so I disabled it.

I had a Nissan Frontier with the problem you described and ended up putting a bolt between the rails and forcing the power seat back to add tension and pick up the slack rather than replacing the whole track system.
