driveline comparison

how does the diameter of the fj40 front driveline compare to the fj60's? Just wondering cause I need a longer front drive line and was thinking if I could just swap out the ends that bolt into the tcase by cutting em and rewelding them to the longer tube.
Any help would be appreciated.

There are some slight differences in the bolt patterns. Depending on what year parts you use, the bolts may or may not fit.
