Drive Side Mirror Problems

Hi all,

My driver side mirror is acting up. It was pushed forward this past weekend and ever since will not return to 'driving position' when locking/unlocking. It will rotate all the way forward when unlocking and return to the 'tucked' position when locking. And when it is unlocked and I start the truck, it pushes all the way forward.

I have manually pushed to tucked, used the mirror controls inside to for auto/non-auto mirror retracting and it still skips the drive position. At first I thought it was just out of sync w/ the motor but now thinking not.

I've watched the Folding Mirror Fix YouTube video and ordered the retractor rebuild kit, but wondering if I'm missing an easier fix any of you all have encountered.

I have/had the same problem with my driver's side mirror on my 2013. I ordered 87966-60J00 as a replacement but unfortunately this contains the wrong harness although it is listed for 2013s. The harness that came with this part number is missing the wires and connector for the camera. The correct part number is 87966-60J80 from what I am told and is being sent to me. I only noticed this after I cut the harness so I installed it with the incorrect harness. No issues, everything is working ok except the camera.
