For Sale Downey 1” TH350/40 series t case adapter

Purchased for a project that won’t happen.

It’s missing the bolts, gasket and oil seal. I never did any of the research to figure where those parts come from.

$200 shipped in the 48.

Unfortunately this 1.5" thick adapter is useless without the transmission output shaft that is needed for it's use. Do you still have the tranny that you can rob the output shaft from. The TH350 output shaft has a female spline that slips right over the transfer-case input shaft male splines. If you don't have the tranny output shaft, Advance Adapters (??might??). When I closed Downey Off Road Mfg. all of this stuff was sold to AA, who put it all into storage. Although AA has new owners, they may have saved some of those shafts. You can use this adapter on a 1979-95 Toyota 4WD mini pickup transfer-case when adapting either a TH350 or 700R4 tranny (if AA has the shafts). Oil seal needed is Toyota #90311-32009 for 21 spline input shaft, National #34X52X8 for 23 spline input shaft. Gasket needed is Toyota #36146-35021. The only really special bolts needed are two (2) Allen Heads, 10mm-1.2 X 25mm long.

My plan has been to contact Matt at AA to see if they still have any of the Downey shafts left, if so I would then offer you a low ball figure for the adapter plates you have (since I have to add sooooo much to complete the adapter). Matt has not answered my email, so either the new owners have canned Matt, or Matt in on X-mas vacation, or ???- - -stay tuned.

Ok, finally heard from AA (after x-mas break), they no longer have any of the parts they bought from Downey Off Road Mfg. after we closed, possibly new owners tossed all parts still sitting there since 2009 ???. Soooo your only hope in selling this adapter is to find the output shaft from the tranny that used this adapter ???

Problem with the junk bin is as soon as you throw it there, you or I will find a Downey output shaft for it. The shaft can be for TH350 or 700R4, but with female splines on the exterior shaft end.
