yeah - agree - feel like a wimp and its not in keeping with the spirit of this site but I think this job is a step too far based on its complexity and crucially the time I have available - I have a good trustworthy shop to do the work (I use them for my Landrover) - also my usual Toyota indy shop would only fit OEM and they were coming in at $4.5k - so the $2.4k labour at the other shop seems about right, and I'd prefer to fit DTs rather than OEM due to the acknowledged / identified issue with the thin metal used on OEMs, and the inevitable failure.... Hopefully the DTs will be one and done - plan on keeping the vehicle for 20 years.
