Maybe that will help. It's for an LX w/ Lexus premium sound but I believe it's the same as nakamichi? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Those work for the 2000 LX w/Nak system. Note: if reusing the in-car wiring, the early models had a single 6" woofer and only used wires WF1 (+ and -), the other wires run all the way to the woofer enclosure but aren't used. Noted to save confusion - and since they are in the existing wiring loom possibly could be used for a dual voice coil woofer or some other low-current purpose.

Thanks, that is a great help. If I am looking at that correctly, that means that the stock amplifier 100% runs to the radio, and there would be no need to bypass it. I am pretty certain I can turn my double din amplifier off, or down. Then, I can simply cut the necessary wires from the stock harness, crimp them to the double din harness, and I am good to go.

Does that sound right?

you don't need to bypass, but you do want to use the preouts (RCAs) on the double din to power your speakers as they are low voltage. Ill post a pic in a minute. You can make your own adaptor out of an old RCA cable or use the one in the metra 70-8113.

You can easily make this yourself. Just strip the sheathing of an old rca cable. Twist the outer copper wire together and connect it to the 4 speaker grounds (harness side to amp) The 4 colored wires will connect the the 4 speaker positives. Then just plug the cables into you double din preouts. This will work best if your deck has front and rear preouts. I would recommend cutting the factory connector and making a hard connection as there is no 22 pin adaptor available

Just wondering why you'd want to use your pre outs vs the speaker lines from the stock amp going directly to the harness of the double din?

The preouts are a low voltage signal. If you use the regular speaker outputs from the head unit, it will be double amplified by both the head unit and the amp, resulting in excessive volume, poor sound quality, and popping noise through the speakers as many have reported. I used the preouts for my stereo install and have zero sound quality issues.

Those pins you used. do they just plug into the harness molex from the amp? where can i get them from? this is ideal for me as i don't want to butcher the factory wiring in the car.

Thanks!
There's really no way around modifying your factory harness as there is no plug and play kit availavble for the 22 pin connector. That being said, it doesn't have to be butchered. When I did mine, I wanted to change the 22 pin to a 20 pin which is used on all the Toyota JBL systems but I ran into some compatibility issues between the metra and factory Toyota 20 pin connectors. I will be taking it all apart again and hard wiring the pioneer harness directly. Ultimately the only reason to use an adaptor is to make the install simple, plug and play, and easily converted back. You kind of loose those benefits once you start changing connectors and it adds a lot of extra bulk to your stereo harness.
