My truck had a water damaged body harness and I just got it repaired and put back together. As the title states, I’m having an issue where if I unlock the doors with the smart sensor function, the car will unlock itself 5 times. This happens on all the doors except for the driver door.

It unlocks normally from the driver door and the key fob. Locking the car is normal on all handles and the key fob.

Something I have noticed is that the door ajar sensors in the door jams are acting up on 3 of the doors. They don’t function properly sometimes when the doors are opened. They will work if you push the plunger in and out a few times. This is a bit concerning considering the truck only has 60k miles and it doesn’t seem like this is something that happens very often let alone on multiple doors. Not sure if this has anything to do with it.

I have read that this could be an issue with the truck sensing the door lock actuators are not working correctly, but all of them are verified to be working fine.

To update this thread, I noticed today that the front passenger door engages the unlock function (unlocks 5 times) every time you touch the door handle with the key in your pocket even though the doors are unlocked.

I would be surprised if the issue isn’t traced back to the water ingress problem. You say that the problem was repaired but your symptoms say otherwise. I am not trying to be funny but everything you describe are issues that I have had that go right back to the corroded plugs. I am curious what “repairs” were made? Both sides of the truck disassembled, cleaned until there was no green left on the connectors?

You’re right. I started unplugging the front passenger door connectors on another 200 I have earlier today and got it to replicate the problem. Looks like I need to bypass one more connector.
