Hey guys,
I have been overlanding North America for over 150 days now, I will be done with Moab this weekend, and was supposed to head to Colorado to do Alpine Loop and some passes but I arrived at the wrong time of year, I am not sure what to do now. Colorado is cancelled.
I might head back to Cali and head back up north to Vancouver where I wanna settle down.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Well if you want to keep heading east, the area around Santa Fe, NM is beautiful and usually has way less snow than Colorado. Lots of parks, camping, etc. And mountains. Also some really beautiful southwestern desert scenery. Big bend park would be further east/south from there. Long expanses of flat boring roads in between but it doesn't seem like you are too afraid of driving..... From there you could circle back and go to utah and make your way to Colorado. That may buy you a couple weeks.... Otherwise there are tons of places to explore through the western states like California and Oregon

Passes won't be open here till June July depending on snow pack most are gated till may. 21 road, billings canyon, bangs canyon , few others in grand junction always open but these are tough trails, chinamens gulch and carnage always open too in Buena vista area
