Our older dog has terrible trouble getting around on foot, but when he's in the water it's another story. He gets to swim in a very generous friend's pool several times a week. It's what's keeping him going.
This is not our dog but it could be. Ours does the exact same thing. 
I dropped him off this morning at the neurologist's office for an MRI of his entire spine to diagnose the worsening problem. IF there is a solution it's likely to be surgery, and the prospect of that scares me. Gamble went to the river today. Is he pointing a fish or bird ?

Than he ran the wild flower fields alongside the river. These were planted during the river restoration after the dam removal. After this we went home and did a through tick check.
Mine supplements dog food with the good stuff!
